In-Depth Video Editing Training in Collaboration with Kizuna

On January 15th, we wrapped up another impactful session of the Kizuna Training Program. This time, we had the opportunity to continue working with over 70 dedicated provincial teachers, all eager to bridge the gap between traditional education and modern digital storytelling.
As a leading film fixer in Cambodia, KUDU Studios understands the logistical and creative challenges when it comes to creating video of any scale. Our goal was simple, to empower these educators to turn their smartphones into powerful tools for high-quality content creation. By mastering these skills, they are now ready to return to their provinces and mentor their students for the upcoming Kizuna Short Video Competition.
After a warm welcome from the KUDU team, we dove straight into the technical essentials. We spent the first hour reviewing how to navigate CapCut, focusing on the advanced functions that elevate a simple clip into a professional video. A specific highlight of this session was teaching the educators how to input Khmer text and logos into their videos.
Once the briefing was complete, teachers were divided into teams to split up for a practical production challenge. Every team was excited, immediately collaborating with their teammates to plan their shots. The venue once again transformed into a bustling set as teachers applied their new tricks to mobile filming.
After gathering their footage, the teachers returned to the room for the editing phase. This was a deep-focus session where the KUDU Academy team moved from table to table, assisting with technical tips and offering creative advice.
The session concluded with a final showcase where each team presented their work. Beyond just showing a video, each group shared their key takeaways and the most important lessons they planned to bring back to their provinces.
