Phally Ngoeum

Phally Ngoeum is a female documentary filmmaker who has been involvedin the industry for more than 10 years. During those years, Phally embodiesthe knowledge and experience of film locally and internationally. Trainedby an Oscar-nominated filmmaker, Rithy Panh, she performs all aspects ofdocumentary film production independently and responsively fromconceptualization to screen. Through filmmaking, Phally is exposed to avariety of social issues, and she is here to tell stories with the hope ofpositive transformation to society.With national and international experience in media and communication, iMPACT Story’s credentials include a master's degree in communication and development studies from Ohio University in the United States; a former regional Communication Officer for Oxfam’s Mekong Water Governance Program; as well as an award-winning filmmaker whose work is recognized locally and internationally.
