Video Editing Session using CapCut in Collaboration with Kizuna
- KUDU Studios
- July 23, 2025
We at KUDU Studios believe that age should never be a barrier to learning and innovation. That’s precisely why our recent two-hours-session, in collaboration with Kizuna, directly addressed this issue by introducing the older generation to the practical and creative world of video editing using CapCut. Our goal was simply to help break down these perceived barriers and empower a generation often overlooked in the digital age.
On July 23rd, 2025, the session began with a warm welcome from our KUDU Academy team, who introduced themselves and greeted the more than 70 eager teachers, school directors and community members, who came from more than 22 government schools.
Following the initial greetings, our team jumped straight into introducing the CapCut application. We started with the very basics, guiding participants through the interface and explaining core functionalities in an easy-to-understand manner. It was crucial to simplify the app, showing them that what might seem complex on the surface is, in fact, incredibly intuitive.

Once the foundational understanding was established, the 70+ participants broke out into six smaller groups. Each group was facilitated and assisted by a member of our KUDU Academy team, ensuring personalized guidance and support.
This collaborative environment allowed participants to ask questions freely, experiment without fear, and truly get comfortable with the application. The practice session was buzzing with activity, as participants explored features like splitting clips, adding music, voice overs, and incorporating text, often with surprised smiles as they saw their first simple edits come to life.
“This opportunity has helped me see these kinds of applications in a different way, understanding that it’s much simpler than I thought. I really enjoyed this session and will definitely use this app to help me in the future.”
Once familiar with the app’s core functions, each group was given a fun and engaging task to create a short video based on their own preferences, applying the skills they had just learned. The creativity that unfolded was truly inspiring! We saw everything from personal narratives and short documentary-style clips to celebratory montages, all crafted with the newfound capabilities of CapCut. This exercise wasn’t just about technical skill; it was about empowering them to tell their stories in a modern medium.
Finally, the moment of truth arrived as each team shared their video with the larger group. This sharing session was a powerful experience, filled with applause, laughter, and genuine admiration. Participants offered honest reflections on their learning journey, often expressing surprise at how quickly they picked up the skills and the immense potential they now saw in video editing.

"To be honest, before the session began, I was a little nervous about all the camera equipment and technology the KUDU team brought in. But after I studied the CapCut application, I was quite surprised at how easy it is to create a video and that I can do it using just my smartphone."
Reflecting on the day, it’s clear that this training session was a powerful statement against outdated stereotypes, clearly demonstrating that passion for learning is disregarding the age difference. We witnessed firsthand how introducing accessible tools like CapCut can profoundly impact the perception of older generations’ technological capabilities, fostering greater digital inclusion and enabling them to participate more fully in our increasingly digital world. This single day has truly laid the groundwork for a future where experience and modern tools go hand-in-hand, proving that when it comes to technology, you’re never too old to create, connect, and thrive.
